c. Field Inspection

It consists in checking detected environments in the fields through a previous analysis. It is carried out together with our advisors to interpret agronomic factors that cause the spatial differences observed.

Verification is done with Pocket PC’s equiped with GPS  that allows navigation in real time along the environments. Representative points from  each environments´ behaviour are preselected and related causes are identified with:
  • Edaphic heterogeneity
  • Fertility differences
  • Hydric erosion
  • Relief conditions that determine horizontal movements of water or ground. ( areas of gain and loss of water or fertility)
  • Predecessor crops ( rotation effect)
